cat & neko

In a hotel in Kobe, Japan. Mai's brother Takeshi took us to buy paints in a little Nihongo Art Supply Store, in a small 3 story loft oustide of Ashiya.

A peice I did for a friend upon my visit to Japan. It is very rare you meet someone who has experienced many similar things as you. Especially on the othe side of the planet. Our roles as owners to our feline friends, the way they passed, our grieving process, we're all things Mai and I shared on a very parallel personal level. It was acctually very emotional. My whole trip over there was, and quite life changing. The last night this painting was done for Mai as a tribute to both of our kitties and their connection in the universe regardless of location, belief, or any other discrumintation.
unfortunately the cool yellow one wasn't mine. it was a painting jg did for Mai's brother Takeshi.

hehe, we looke snappy.

this just make me happy

I didn't win first place but i got a participants certificate and a post of it in the weekly newsletter! Wahoo! 10 year old power... yeee-aarrrrr!
